REETA ANKLE BOOT

Some boots are dressed up; the Reeta is dressed down on purpose. Soft black suede, a modest heel, and nothing else asking for attention.

The heel measures 1.6" and the shaft stands 4.72", which puts the top edge right at the ankle where it can sit under a hem or above it. Suede covers the upper, and it comes in an array of hues beyond this one. A rubber outsole runs below. Made in Italy.

This is a jeans boot first: the shaft is short enough to disappear under a straight leg and the heel is low enough to walk the length of a day. It also works under twill trousers, and with a long skirt that moves, where the flash of suede at the ankle is the only structure in the outfit. Casual, but not careless.
