JANELLA ANKLE BOOT

Stitching is the whole decoration on the Janella, small and deliberate, and the reason a plain boot in brandy suede does not read plain.

The toe is round and the heel is stacked, standing 2.7", which puts it above an everyday flat boot without crossing into an evening one. The shaft measures 5.5" high with a 10.0" circumference. An inside zipper keeps the outer line unbroken, and a breathable lining sits against the foot. Suede here, leather elsewhere in the range. A rubber outsole underneath. Made in Italy.

Neutral hues are what make this boot last past one season: it works on a weekday under trousers and on a Sunday under jeans, and it never looks like it is trying to do either. If you want one pair of ankle boots that handles most of a wardrobe, this is the shape to look at.
